PickMe Software Single User Licence on USB Media
There are many occasions when it is necessary to select individuals or creating subgroups from or within a class, group or team. PickMe software has the advantage of making randomised selection quick, effective and non-bias.
PickMe Software is a desktop application that will ensure you can save data and access it more quickly than online applications.
Simply create a name for your class, group or team in the Names Manager above. A total of 20 classes, groups or teams can be entered. Then enter the names of the individuals in the Class, Groups and Team Modifier below; a maximum of 40 names can be entered into each class, group or team.
A distinct advantage of the PickMe software is that the ‘Include’ tick against each name can be selected or deselected according to whether the individual should be included in the selection. This is a quick and effective way of managing your data to reflect individuals who are absent.

Individual Selectors
PickMe software allows the user to quickly and effectively select individuals from a larger class, group or team. This process is non-bias and can be used to actively engage individuals in learning opportunities.

Pot Luck Selectors
The Pot Luck selectors allow the user to select any number of individuals from 1—10 from their class, group or team at any one time. Once you have selected your class, group or team from those you have entered you can repeatedly select the same or different numbers of individuals from the same class, group or team. The Pot Luck selector provides each individual with the same chance of being selected each time you click a number 1—10; this means that individuals must remain focused as they could be selected or reselected at any point.

Take Turns
There are times when it is important to ensure that each individual in a class, group or team is given a turn at engaging in or completing the task. The Take Turns selectors allow the user to randomly select from their chosen class, group or team but unlike the Pot Luck selectors once an individual has had their turn their name remains displayed and they will not be selected again until the user clicks the ’Next’ button to begin again.

Group Selectors
When managing a class, group or team, there are often times when the individuals in the class, group or team need to be rearranged into subgroups. The management of this can be time consuming. On occasions, careful human selection of individuals into subgroups is required but there are equally times when rapid random selection is advantageous and non-bias. PickMe can enhance learning opportunities through quick group selection.
The Group Selector option in PickMe will, also, allow the user to apply group names to subgroups or titles to identify the roles of individuals within a subgroup.

Groups of X
There are times when the number of individuals in a group is the important characteristic of group management rather than the number of groups. ’Groups of X’ allows the user to specify the number of individuals in a group e.g. the user wants individuals to work in pairs, therefore, it is important that individuals are arranged into groups of 2. The number of groups of 2 created is immaterial. If the class, group or team is not divisible by 2 then additional individuals are put into a final group.
X Groups
Sometimes the number of groups is the determining factor in arranging individuals into groups and the number of individuals in each group is less important. ’X Groups’ allows the user to specify the number of groups into which they want individuals to be arranged e.g. the user has created 6 activities; therefore, it is important to have 6 groups. The number of individuals in each group is less important. If the class, group or team is not directly divisible by 6 then some groups will have one less individual in some groups.
